Its population lived peacefully and in cooperation with the Imperial authority. But one day a threat rained from the sky, in form of a huge Metin Stone. The impact of the stone not only changed the geography and climate of the continent, but animals fell under its control. They became killing creatures and were turned through mutation into cruel and ugly monsters. Many people were killed by a deadly disease and returned after their death as gory undead, which now wander over the punished continent. The resulting chaos caused the dissolution of the former empire and the foundation of three smaller empires at the edges of the continent, which are enemies to this very day. In the center of the continent, where the Metin Stone fell, there now resides the most terrifying of creatures, but there are still smaller Stones falling from the sky. The horrifying fact is, that the power of the Metin Stone seems to be increasing, as if it first had to regenerate after the impact. This new power has forced the Dragon God to personally appear on the continent to try to halt the Metin Stone's growing mastery of his land. You read books in order to increse skills, among other things. Here are a few books and what they do. -Skill books- After you have mastered a skill, you read these books to level up that skill, eventually to Grand Master. The only way to get a skill book is by buying from another player, or by getting it as a drop from Metins. They varry in price but are equally common. The downside to these is that you may fail. The likely hood that you suceed is about 25%. If you cannot read a skillbook, you may be doing something wrong. If it says you lack experience to read this book, you need to earn exp in order to read this. You may not have mastered this skill yet. or your class may not have this skill. -Polymorph books- These books are used to level your polymorph level. These are dropped randomly from any monster but are an uncommon drop. There are beginner books, and advanced books. You need to be level 30 in order to read this. -Mining guide- This levels up your mining level. Blue potions heal mana points. Green potions increase attack rate(temporarily.) Purple potions increase moving speed(temporarily.) There is a small(s) medium(m) and large (L) for each type of potion. The larger the potion is, the greater effect it has.
